Sabrina Smulevich is the managing partner of the Buenos Aires office of Serber & Associates, P.A, where she assists foreign clients, usually based in South America, in their United States business and investment matters. Ms. Smulevich focuses her practice on corporate and real-estate law, including drafting of operating, limited partnership, and shareholder agreements, stock and asset acquisitions documents, commercial and residential leases, and organizational governance documents. Additionally, Ms. Smulevich provides clients ongoing advice on litigation matters and tax planning for real estate investments. In 2007, Ms. Smulevich obtained her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law where she was a Thomas E. & Dorothy McDougall, Miguel G. & Nelly Farra, and George David Gold Scholar. Additionally, she was a member of the Inter American Law Review, the Arbitration Chair of the International Moot Court Board, a Writing Dean’s Fellow, and earned recognition on the Dean’s List for her academic performance. Ms. Smulevich represented the University of Miami twice at the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Competition which takes place in Vienna, Austria receiving an Honorable Mention. While attending law school, Ms. Smulevich worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Shelby Highsmith, U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of Florida, was a summer associate with Zuckerman Spaeder LLP, and worked as a certified legal intern for The Eleventh Circuit Public Defender. Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Smulevich was a litigator at Devine, Goodman, Rasco & Wells, a boutique law firm in Miami, where she represented clients in both federal and state court. Ms. Smuevich received her B.A., cum laude, from Florida International University with a double major in Economics and International Relations. She also studied law in Argentina. Her native fluency in Spanish and her knowledge of civil law enables her to work well with clients and local counsel in Argentina and different Latin American jurisdictions. Ms. Smulevich is a member of the Florida Bar, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and the Eleventh United States Circuit Court of Appeals. |
